MSU SUPERCOMPUTERS: "IBM Polus"

Polus is a parallel computing system consisting of 5 computing nodes.
(the frontend node functions are assigned to the first computing node)

The main characteristics of each node:

  • 2 ten-core IBM POWER8 processors (each core has 8 threads) total 160 threads
  • 256 GB shared RAM (in node 5, 1024 GB RAM) with ECC control
  • 2 х 1 ТБ 2.5” 7K RPM SATA HDD
  • 2 x NVIDIA Tesla P100 GPU, 16GB, NVLink
  • 1 port 100 GB/s
